WARNING: Don’t Buy Fake POEA Appointment Forms

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) issued a warning regarding people selling appointment forms to the public. According to report published on Philippine News Agency portal on October 21, 2021, POEA shared that many applicants have come to the office bearing appointment documents that are not legit.

The Filipinos bought these fake POEA appointment forms through staff of recruitment agencies and computer centers.

Appointment Form to Process OFW Records

The appointment form is used in order to process documents of Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) such as verifying or certifying of OFW records. However, many Filipinos brought the appointment forms to the POEA office and it was later found out that these were not real.

These illegal documents had alterations in either the date or the name indicated on the appointment form.

POEA Appointment is FREE

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) reminded job seekers that the genuine appointment form is free and may be found on its website at the same time.

Applicants only need to visit the website at ofwrecords.poea.gov.ph to access the appointment form.

You should not pay any fees to make the appointment and you should only process the appointment through the proper channel.

Avoid becoming victims of this type of modus operations. Aside from this, the agency went on to say that those who participated in the fabrication of official government records will face criminal penalties.

Pinapayuhan ng POEA ang publiko na huwag patulan ang mga mapagsamantalang nagbebenta ng mga fake appointment form para sa mga proseso nito kagaya ng verification o certification ng OFW records.

Maraming aplikante na ang nahuling may hawak na fake appointment forms na sinasabing binili nila sa ilang empleyado ng recruitment agencies at computer shops. Kadalasan, pinapalitan ang petsa ng appointment o ang pangalan ng orihinal na may hawak nito.

Ang libre at totoong appointment form ay makukuha lamang sa website na ofwrecords.poea.gov.ph.

Binabalaan din ng POEA na mananagot sa batas ang sinumang mapatunayang gumagawa ng mga fake o nagpapalsipika ng mga opisyal na dokumento ng gobyerno.
